Purpose of Life
Bible verses on your Purpose in Life.
Ephesians 2:1- “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
God created you and has a special plan for your life.
John 14:6- ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
One purpose in life is to get closer to God (this done through Jesus Christ).
Isaiah 43:6-7- “Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
Another purpose is to glorify God in this world He has provided.
Psalm 86:12- “I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.”
We are to love, praise, and worship our God.
Psalm 96:3- “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”
We are to go out into the world and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Above are a few purposes of life. As you can see, the main ones focus on our worship with God and spreading the good news of His Son. God states in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans He has for you life, and that they are going to be good and prosperous. By focusing on God and spreading the word, He will continue to bless and keep you. And someday you reward will be living with Him in Heaven.
So do not focus all of you life on yourself, thinking that is the purpose of your life. But instead, focus all you energy and love towards others and especially towards our Maker.
