Actions and Words
A few bible verses on both:
Psalm 43:13-“Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.”
Galatians 2:20- “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
James 3:6- “And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.”
1 Corinthians 4:16- “I encourage you, then, be imitators of me.”
Above are a few bible verses speaking about our actions and words, and warnings against the power of both. God wants us to be pure and loving people. He wants us to build others up, instead of tearing them. We need to guard our tongues, which is one of the strongest weapons we have. Our tongue can do great wonders, but can also do great devastation. Be careful of it. Sometimes the power of it is overwhelming. But we also need to guard our actions and make sure they are holy and pleasing to God. Do things that you would be proud to do. Don’t do something that would make you shameful if caught. Care and love for your neighbors with both your words and actions. Because you never know what effects your words and actions will have on someone else.
